My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage and I think it totally changed the way I thought about pregnancy and parenthood. Having to tell the few people I had shared my pregnancy with was horrible, but I had this amazing nurse who told me she had 4 miscarriages before she had her daughter. Until that moment I never knew anyone who went through what I did. It's a topic that should be talked about more often. Thanks for sharing with other women who might be going through the same thing. Ultimately the experience made me intensely aware of what a gift parenthood is. Life is fragile and fleeting and not a single one of us can afford to waste it.
